KranevoFive days where the world will speak through the language of dance – with no competition, no age limits, and open hearts. Dance groups, clubs, and amateur formations from Bulgaria and abroad will gather in one place to share their passion for movement, tradition, and the stage.
Among the green hills and fresh sea breeze of Kranevo, right on the coast of the Black Sea, lies the perfect setting for a true cultural journey. Located just 17 km from Balchik, 37 km from Varna Airport, and 45 km from Dobrich, this area brings together nature, history, and inspiration.
Leading figures from the Bulgarian folklore scene will take part as lecturers and instructors in educational seminars open to both Bulgarian and international participants.
The festival creates a unique space for intercultural exchange – giving participants the chance to share knowledge, traditions, music, and dance customs.
For the first time, special workshops will be held for Bulgarian ensembles abroad and international groups performing Bulgarian folklore. Experienced lecturers will guide choreographers through the intricacies of our traditions and the diversity of Bulgaria’s folkloric regions.
June 4 – Arrival and accommodation.
Welcome beach party with fire and light show, refreshing drinks, and DJ evening.
June 5 –
🔸 Morning seminar on Bulgarian folk dances from various ethnographic regions
🔸 Official opening of the festival
🔸 Dance performances by all participating groups – each presenting authentic dances from their country
June 6 –
🔸 Morning and afternoon seminars focused on the richness of Bulgarian folklore
🔸 Evening beach party with DJ and entertainment program
June 7 –
🔸 Grand closing celebration
🔸 Concert featuring:
• Ensemble “Bulgari” – Varna
• Dance club “Zhatvari” – Dobrich
• Dance club “Moryatsite” – Varna
🔸 Award ceremony for all festival participants
June 8 – Departure with new friendships and even more inspiration
